by Mark Nelson M uch debate is expected T uesday , as th e bill on th e U niversity F o rum goes before the S tu d en t Senate. T he U niversity F orum was proposed last May 19 by F a ther H esburgh. Hesburgh in vited all o f the segm ents of the U niversity to be a part o f the Forum . T he F orum was to include tw en ty m em bers, fou r m em bers each from th e F acul ty , S tuden ts , A dm in istra tion , A lum ni, and Board o f T ru s t ees. A c c o r d i n g to H esburgh “ This w ould no t be a legisla t i v e , ju d ic ia l, o r execu tive body . R ather, it w ould be a body th a t unites all o f th e various m em bers o f th e com m unity in public and private discussion in the in terest of creating a m ore m eaningful com m unity , and w ider ranging com m unication regarding th e p rob lem s involved.” H esburgh suggested th a t the F o ru m m eet a t least fou r tim es a year to discuss m atters o f general in terest to th e Uni versity C om m un ity , and th a t A critique giving th e pros th e ideas resolved by consensus and cons o f th e F orum was be referred to th e already exsent o u t by S tu d en t Body isting bodies fo r legislation and P resident Phil M cKenna.
